The Ability to Create Your Personal Brand
From the choosing of your domain name, the photographs you add and the colours and designs you choose to use on your blog. Personal Branding is everything.
It isn’t a coincidence that big corporate companies like Nike with their Swoosh logo, or Lady Ga Ga with her trademark over flamboyancy and fashion sense are both successful and distinguishable from other companies and pop stars.
Being able to effectively personally brand yourself and being consistent in your presence allows for the creation of an extremely powerful tool. What’s more by personally branding yourself and putting yourself in front of people who are interested in the same things as you, you will begin to emanate success, leadership, power, purpose, vision and clarity.
Personal Branding if done correct creates authenticity, genuineness and a strong rapport with your followers, it is also important that your presence in other ‘worlds’ is consistent both online and off. Your message should be the same on other social networks, video marketing sites, in the articles you right and the company you keep.
Make a strong start to your personal branding strategy by having an attractive blog that represents everything you stand for, with a clear header, tagline and headshot.
A Place to Show Off!!
I don’t normally advocate that you should be showing off and blowing your own trumpet all the time…but let me tell you. If you can’t be proud of your own talents in your own home then where else can you shout about them?
And that’s exactly what you should think of your blog as. A place you can call home. A place where you can invite friends and acquaintances to get to know you better, a place where you can hang out with people who are just like you. A place where you can decorate and make it feel your own. Somewhere you can hang your certificates and achievements all over the wall.
Think of your blog posts, your videos, your pictures, your testimonials, your services, your products as the wallpaper of your home; that make your blog come to life. That show the world what you are all about and what you have achieved.
Be proud of who you are, the more authentic you are the more people will warm to you and want to know even more about you or your business opportunity, service or skills.
Whether you are photographer, magician or personal development coach, use your blog to build up a portfolio of what you have achieved and created and don’t be afraid to ask your team mates, business partners and past customers to write a testimonials for you.
I would love to have your comments please let me know what you thought of my post.

Hi Beth,
Good post. I’ve only had a blog up for a year with maybe 6 months of that actually writing on it. I thought all you needed was a website. Now I really enjoy the interaction on the blog, writing… now I don’t know why I have a website! Creating a blog has been the best experience for me so far …

Hi Beth
Great post, I was just thinking about working with a group about 3 years ago online, and no one had a blog, and now everyone it seems has one. Amazing how things change so quickly, but it definitely is a great way for people to really get to know you and your “brand”.

Beth, great post as usual. Branding is the key to your success and having your blog as the central hub for people to see who you are and what you are about will build lasting relationships as well.

Hey Beth,
Great post! It is always great to hear a reminder of how import ../../reasons-why-you-need-a-blog-part-1_2F0_2F/the image we portray online is critical to our success. I agree that our blog is our __8220.css;online” home. We need to treat it just the same as we would our “offline” one. Well maybe that is what most people do and why some are a bit “messed up”
Make it a great day!
God Bless,

Thank you Beth! I really enjoy reading what other people think! I know it’s crazy but I like to hear confirmation that I’m doing it right! I especially like the fact that you have broken this topic into three parts! Actually, I’m commenting on the first when I saw three, I haven’t read the third yet, maybe there will be more!

It does take time, but it’s all worth it in the end, always be consistent and try to be present as much as possible.
