Just a short and sweet message for you today, brought to you with one of my favourite scenes in one of my favourite films, that is In the Pursuit of Happiness with Will Smith.
Don’t ever let someone tell you, you can’t do something. If you have a dream you have to protect it. A good friend of mine Edward Elliot would even say you have to share it to make it come into fruition.
If you want something, go get it. Anything is possible, whoever you are, where ever you are, whatever your circumstances. You just have to keep at it.
If you haven’t yet seen this film, I would urge you to do so.
Have a wonderful Week,

Thanks for putting it up. Will Smith is the best. We must avoid listening to the naysayers. They have never built a downline. We must ask someone who is building their business with massive success today!!

Hi Beth!
Thanks for sharing this clip. This one is one of my favorites - the clip and the movie. Witnessing the struggles his character encountered and it didn’t stop him…. Anyone whining and feeling sorry for themselves, blaming their circumstances for not going after their dreams needs to watch that movie - will give a little perspective.
Have an Awesome Day! Thanks, Laura

Hi Beth,
Love, love, love that movie, but most of it’s just so sad! It truly is a great movie with a superb message, and I was just telling someone else to not let others get you down because we are all different and have different opinions.
Just because one person tells you that it’s a bad idea or doesn’t agree doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it.

Hello Beth. I love that movie, there is so much wisdom and inspiration from that movie. It must have been great to make that movie with his son and be able to share the life lessons in acting. I am sure his family does this everyday. Ed sure does step out there and make things happen, it is wonderful to see and gives me the inspiration to keep moving forward.
Love always

Great movie and great post!
I needed that kick in the butt this morning. This are going well, but I feel I have diverted from my goals a little lately.
Laser focus and the unshakable ambition to not let anything stand in your way in what it takes to succeed.
Thanks!!

No I haven’t seen the movie just yet, I thought about it but never got around to it. I heard great things about that movie though. This is a great message that you just wrote. Funny when we are kids our parents tells us that we can do anything and live our dreams. But when we become an adult we lose hold of our vision and lose focus on our thoughts and wishes. Seems as though that mountain is much higher to climb when you can see life more clearly as an adult. I wouldn’t say that it is still impossible to climb. Strong message this movie had in that 2 minute clip. Thanks for sharing Beth gives me a reason to check out a movie for this weekend coming up.

Beth, you have a very inspiring topic there. I like the attitude of being determined to do what you want. Each person has his ambitions and goals in life. But what make it difficult is the very own mind of ours.

I’ve seen the film a long time ago. It’s heart-warming and inspiring. Don’t allow inevitable circumstances hinder you from aiming high. Believe that someday, somewhere, you can make a difference.

This statement “Don’t ever let someone tell you, you can’t do something.” is so powerful. It helps you not to be pulled down by others and believe in ourselves.

Will Smith has been a hero for me.
This movie really inspires an Individual to fulfill his dreams even though he/she faces lots of ostacles.
Remember: If you are not facing difficulties in life, It means you are not moving in right direction.
So face the difficulties, overcome the fear & see success is waiting for you.

If you just do something to get what you want definitely something will happen. If you just sit around and do nothing don’t expect that you will get what you want.

Beth, That is one of my all time favorite movies. It breaks my heart to watch the struggles, but it was so awesome they overcame their unfortunate circumstances and it became a great success story.
I am glad I found your blog page! It’s a great reminder…Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you can’t do something or be somebody.

Very nice - never hurts to revisit a worthwhile message. I think that if sharing your goals works for you, then you should do it freely. But it never hurts to keep track of what does or doesn’t work.

Definitely one of my favorite movies. Will Smith was great for this role and believing in his character. I believe anything is possible in life just as long as you believe in yourself and not allow others to discourage you.

I can’t believe I haven’t seen this movie still…especially considering you know we have a shared love of Will Smith! I have seen this clip a few times, and every time I’m so happy he turns around and says what he says. So many parents squash their children’s dreams simply becuase they “failed” at their own dreams…..or because someone else told them it was unrealistic, impossible, they weren’t good enough, etc. Dreams keep us energized and alive….and yes, we must protect them! And protect our children’s dreams until they can do so on their own. Thank you for sharing this inspiring piece, Beth!

Don’t ever let anyone even those close to you take your dream away. That reminded me of when I first got started and how my family even my husband they all had opinions, even though they had never done it. But if I listened, I wouldn’t be here today.
