How certain are you about your chances of success? Perhaps you are reading this having just embarked on your entrepreneurial journey. Maybe you have been on your journey for a while with spits and spots of success or perhaps you are just about to reach your breakthrough in to successdom!
Where ever you are on your journey you will find that in most instances, success is a result if how you control your mind. A lot has been written on the subject of positive mental attitude, visualization and the law of attraction and there is no doubt that thinking your way to success has a big part to play in your achievements in life.
There is a specific aspect of positive thinking which is based around ‘certainty’. Now certainty is a curious state to be in, it is a good state to be in but to others is can often be confused with ‘crazy’, ‘over confident’ or even ‘insane’ and so for someone to reach a level of certainty, they may often need to be comfortable and completely grounded so as not to get labelled.
However, I want to stress that labels and the ways that people think about us, really doesn’t matter – but just to say if you are new to this way of thinking and personal development be mindful that our friends and family don’t always understand what we are trying to achieve. (but that is what makes the journey exciting right!)
So to be certain means:
- without doubt
- that the result is inevitable
- that it is an assured fact
Never think about failure. Even in the hardest of conditions we have to stay positive. The more difficult things get, the more determined you should become. Think for a moment about how a soldier reacts to threat. The more they become under attack, the stronger they become, never loosing sight of the reasons for the fight.
Developing a sense of certainty, is to settle in your mind that what you are trying to achieve you CAN and WILL achieve. To have faith that everything will work out for the greater good you have to believe you are the success you want to see in the world. This isn’t about trying to exaggerate your income, or being a charlatan when it comes to outlining your skills, achievements and qualifications. Remember most people will be more likely to follow you if you are honest about your achievements, no matter how big or small. Honesty will always be the best policy.
We all have accomplishments for which we can speak of, it is just that they are not always at the forefront of our minds when we first start out. But a great way to ooze certainty is to totally immerse yourself in the excitement of what you are achieving. When people see and feel your excitement they will want to be part of that too.
So how would that work in practice?
Well lets take a common questions that often creeps up in network marketing when you have just got started. ”How big is your team?”
Answer: “My team isn’t enormous just yet, but it’s growing everyday and I am so excited about where we are heading. Together we are picking up great momentum and working together to create really great things. I am focused on building an amazing team with some truly amazing people from all over the world.”
Did you notice that there was no mention of the specific size of the team or the word ‘small’ It is important to remember that even the most successful network marketer had to start somewhere, with nothing more than themselves. We all start out at the same place. Watch the video below with Tony Robbins, Frank Kern and John Reese to learn about the importance of certainty in creating success.
I hope you enjoyed the post and the clip, please leave your tips and tricks to securing a ‘certain’ mind.

Be certain, have that positive mindset. I love the message you share here Beth! Really understanding our inner self is the first step in our acceptance on being certain for success.
“Immerse yourself in the excitement of what you are achieving’ is an amazing affirmation — I have written this down and look forward to be sharing this with others.

Very positive message Beth, and I agree completely that we all must start somewhere, and it’s not important where we start, but just that we start, and take a step in the right direction.
thx for posting,
Chris

Some interesting concepts when it comes to certainty. I reminds me of a work shop I did years ago when they used the concept of courage or foolhardiness. If everything works you are courageous, if not you are just a fool/ But all people who sucess have to be certain of the outcome, whether it happens or not.

Hi Beth,
I will certainly agree that success is a state of mind. Without the certainty that you will be successful in the end, there is no success at the end of the tunnel.
The lack of such certainty is what makes people not only fail, but not even taking the necessary actions needed in order to succeed.
Thank you for this great info, Beith
