What Makes A Successful Business?
There are a lot of things that contribute to What makes a successful business, such as starting the company in the right place, and at the perfect time, being smart and having cutting ideas. Having an working strategy, being fully prepared, measuring and implenting effective short term and long term goals, or maybe it perhaps just plain luck.
Many companies might look as if they have become a success over night, others may grow and develop over time, and others might not ever get off the ground. Several people are born entrepreneurs while others have to work hard making their business successful. No one has a formula for success that will work for every type of business or for every single person so it is not always clear cut as to what makes a successful business.
Most experts will tell you that what makes a successful business is when a company focuses on the personal factor, which is the boss & the employees. All people, no matter who they are, have an appetite for existence, shelter, safety, respect, & a strong sense of accomplishment.
And those companies that have a standard policy of placing their employees first, above corporate earnings and prestige, will find greater success in obtaining their long term goals & then accomplishing a degree of higher earning potential. This is what makes a successful business.
Having Common Goals – Is What Will Make a Company Successful.
An Employees’ ideals should be in line with the company’s objectives. It will be up to the manager to create such a culture in the company, where everybody works for a common cause. Providing employees with stimulation & other motivational factors will be effective ways of spreading a feeling of oneness within the company.
Effective Communication – Is What Makes A Successful Business
This is the greatest fundamental factor to be implemented in any organisation. Exchanging information must be effective and vice versa. All communication procedures need to be capable of accurately functioning in all directions.
Good Decions are the Basis for What Makes A Business Successful
A single decision has the ability to make or break the future of a business. Proper examinations of the problem at hand is compulsory in these cases. Rushing into problems will be futile to the long term future of a company & might end up being the reason for a companies demise. Planning as well as looking for other ways are two important factors to bear in mind.
Leading by Example – Is a Sure Fire Way to Success
Leading by example is a really important characteristic that a manager should possess. When employees see & observe a superiors working selflessly for the benefit of the company they will be encouraged to also give their best. All these tips can be applied to offline as well as online businesses. You covered a variety of issues that if not addressed, or given a good amount of focus can have detrimental effects on the bottom line and of course the longevity of the business. I totally agree that effective communication from all areas and levels is of utmost importance. The personal factor within a project can break or make it a success. Great information!

Hi Beth,
Thank you for the post. I teach Personal Effectiveness and Leadership Practices at a local college in Singapore. After reading your post, I realize many of the universal principles are time-tested and can be applied in business, at home, church, in leadership and business. Recently I see more of these principles being applied on online businesses as well. It’s good to know that good time-tested principles trumps over shortcuts, microwave leaders and fly-by-night business gurus anytime.
