It is a great pleasure to share with you a video from a great friend of mine Kareem Williams. In todays post Kareem shares with you the great importance of picking up the Telephone and connecting with the people you meet online. It is important to realise that you shoudn’t only be picking up the phone when you have something to sell or wanting to prospect with someone, but there is so much to be gained from just having a conversation, connecting on a very different level and finding out something new.
Sure we might noy always hit it off with everyone we meet online, but that is just life. What I do know is, the times when I have spent a few hours masterminding, sharing ideas and getting to know others has been some of the biggest break through moments and highlights in my business so far.
Just watch this video and feel the energy in Kareem’s message…and why not reach out with some right after this video, could be the best move you have made yet. Don’t be afraid, we are all human and last I heard no-one ever died talking to someone new.
So over to Kareem!…I have a call scheduled with Kareem on Monday and I really can’t wait!
Enjoy.
Yours in Success,

Hello Beth, I know I said I would call you on the Skype and I have not forgotten! This is a good post to remind people that internet marketing is really just an extension of traditional marketing, not a separate island from it. However, I think problems here arise out of two factors, one traditional, one germane to the internet. The first is fear. Many people lack “the salesman mentality”. You know, the highly confident, overly optimistic, never give up, go get em attitude that’s constantly needed to make sales. These types never let anything or anybody bring them down. It takes a lot of strength and courage to maintain this personality and pro-active posture. The other is that the internet has opened the door to the potential for “the totally automated business”. The whole, “make money while you sleep” thing. With all the pay PPC and affiliate marketing opportunities, the possibility of building a totally hands free money making machine has become more tempting to people than ever before.

You definitely have to connect with prospects on the phone. With the phone you get the feeling that you are talking to a real person and the connection is better.

Hey Beth,
I agree with you completely. This is relationship marketing after all. Taking the time to make a call and connect with someone via the phone not just on the internet takes that relationship to a whole new level.
Thanks for Sharing Beth,

Hi Beth,
Just today I ran across another “training” that said to hone my phone skills because being “live” is the only way your emotions and excitement can come across to the other person.
I thought “YES!” that’s exactly right.
I have given up network marketing (at least for now!) and am building blogs about health and fitness. I also show small businesses how to increase their sales by using text messaging.
Cheers!

The video provides some excellent points in using the telephone in network marketing. In marketing, there is always a need to connect to with other people and a telephone is one alternative way of reaching out to them. Plus, a telephone call provides real conversations with them and may have good results.

Hey Steve,
I agree, the telephone has a real role to play. I am also using video communication much more too and I love the relationships that I have built using it.
Thanks for your comment.

Yes! That is absolutely right! Telephone calls are always important especially with businesses. Even with the higher tech this time, telephone is still one of the important tool for communication.

Thats a nice share.
Though its all about the web world today but there are many situations when you really want to talk and solve the things with your clients/ colleagues .
Beside this when it comes to bringing the business, having a call is always my first choice..

Hi Beth,
A personal phone is much more effective than emails, it makes people feel that they can trust you and you are a real person and not just a spammer and in this industry trust is the most important factor for recruiting new members…

Hey Beth and Kareem, one of the problems the Internet created was/is lazyness… people can’t be bothered to pick up the phone and they think their whole business can be built just on the Interent.
Maybe it can be for a select few people, but most others have to really work HARD at it!
Great advice and video.
Many Thanks

Hi Beth
In traditional network marketing the telephone is an absolute must for business growth. Understandably, not everyone has the confidence to jump on the phone and connect with people who have enquired to get involved.
Internet marketing is different as you’re already forming relationships online so it should be a whole lot easier to pick the phone up for a chat.
As Kareem points out the benefits could be huge in terms of information gained. It won’t work out every time.I must have spoken to 1000s of people of the years, many of who were not interested in what I had to offer.
Great post

Hi Mark,
Ues internet marketing is more transparent and you can find out a lot more about a person before you even pick up the phone either to make the call or hear from someone in the industry.
Thanks for you comment,
Beth
